Call for papers and abstracts
Call for papers:
- Submit papers for refereeing by 19 October 2007
- Submit abstracts not for publishing by 16 November 2007
Abstracts should provide sufficient detail to assist delegates in making their selections.
Please format abstracts and papers according to the guidelines.
Papers, Abstracts and Proposals
You may submit a:
- Research Paper to the refereeing process. Papers of no more than 4000 words for publication need to comply with the criteria established by the Teaching and Learning Forum and must also be consistent with DEST specifications for refereed research papers in the category 'Conference publication'.
- Professional Practice Paper to the refereeing process. Papers of no more than 4000 words on teaching practices, professional development and/or showcases of innovations in teaching and learning need to comply with the criteria established by the Teaching and Learning Forum. Being grounded in best practice, rather than new knowledge, accepted papers are not eligible for the DEST research category.
- Paper that is non-refereed and not for publication. An abstract of 300 words must provide sufficient detail to assist delegates in making their selections. Abstracts should be formatted according to the guidelines on the website.
- Proposal for a Workshop. A two-page proposal (including references) must address the issue and provide an outline of the workshop structure and pedagogical principles and the learning outcomes for participants.

Author Responsibilities and Copyright
Authors are to ensure:
- the accuracy of their papers;
- they are the copyright holders of the paper;
- the contents have been cleared for publication by any organisation having the capacity to preclude publication of the paper;
- they accept full responsibility for statements made both in written papers and in presentations; and
- they undertake that at least one of the authors will attend the session for which the paper is scheduled, will present the paper and will be available to answer questions and discuss the paper with other delegates.
