The Excellence and Innovation in Teaching (EIT) Awards program provides recognition and reward for outstanding performance in teaching by individuals/teams and Schools, and promotes and disseminates

The EIT Awards progress Curtin's Teaching and Learning Plan objective:

Excellent teaching that facilitates learning.

In 2006 the EIT Awards have been revised and aligned with the three new Carrick Awards for Australian University Teaching (CAAUT).

Successful EIT Award recipients will be selected from each of the three CAAUT categories.

All members of Curtin academic staff whether full-time or part-time, teaching in undergraduate or postgraduate programs, on-shore or off-shore, are eligible to be nominated, provided they have taught at Curtin for at least two years. Nomination for Citation Awards is open to academic staff, general staff and sessional staff.

Scholarships

The Clare Burton Scholarship provides funds to support postgraduate research into gender equity. The Scholarship was established by the five ATN universities (Curtin, QUT, RMIT, UniSA, UTS) to honour and continue the work of Dr. Clare Burton, a pioneering Australian researcher, into aspects of gender equity. A scholarship of $10,000 is available to a student enrolled, or intending to enrol, in an ATN university, in either a postgraduate coursework or research degree where the major piece of work is focussed on gender equity.
